Ukrainian Women Share the Impact of eCornell Scholarship Program

Participants in the eCornell scholarship program offered through Project Kesher Ukraine and the Women's Opportunity Fund are already seeing meaningful professional and personal benefits from Cornell University's online courses.

For Olha Valikova, who has lived as an internally displaced person for 12 years, the opportunity has been transformative. "After 12 years of living as an internally displaced person, this has been the most meaningful experience I've had. I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity," she shared. Olha praised the practical course format, the chance to strengthen her professional English, and the support she received from her facilitator, Tracy.

Hanna Chandyk, who completed a social media marketing course with a score of 98.2 out of 100, said she is already applying what she learned in her daily work. "It is a great honor and opportunity to study through Cornell University's course," she said, highlighting the practical feedback from her instructor.

For Olena Lobach, the program has strengthened both her professional expertise and her confidence using English. "The live sessions are a real challenge for me, but they are exactly what helps me overcome the language barrier and present myself with greater confidence in a professional environment," she said.

Yuliia Klapko, who is transitioning into a healthcare leadership role, found the Human Resources in Healthcare course especially valuable. "Moving into a management position requires the ability to inspire people, develop a team, and help others succeed," she reflected. She described the interactive format as both engaging and immediately applicable to her work.

Through this scholarship partnership with eCornell, Project Kesher Ukraine and the Women's Opportunity Fund are expanding access to world-class education, helping Ukrainian women build new skills, strengthen their careers, and develop the leadership needed to shape Ukraine's future.
