Humanitarian Care

WOF-UA is at the forefront of responding to the wartime needs of Ukrainian women and girls and reaching women with critical information and life-saving resources. Embedding fully in the communities in which they provide assistance allows WOF-UA to meet immediate needs, without duplicating the efforts of other NGOs. Less than 1% of international aid to Ukraine has been allocated to women and girls, and WOF-UA is hard at work advocating for this demographic. WOF-UA has provided:

  • 290 e-bicycles to Ukrainian healthcare workers, supporting 130,000+ monthly home visits to patients.

  • Essential equipment to maternity wards, including a CPAP system to the Dnipro Clinical Hospital, saving the lives of 10 premature babies each month.

  • Laptops, computer training, and staffing agency support to secure remote employment.

  • 400+ generators to hospitals, maternity wards, schools, community centers, and small businesses.

  • 600,000 pounds of food to Ukrainian families

  • Thousands of food and hygiene kits to pregnant women and new mothers

  • Dozens of motor pumps to pump water out of flooded basements
